Of Mice And Men Evaluation

  As John Steinbeck said in his Nobel prize acceptance speech, good literature is where a characters faults and greatness are shown. Steinbeck shows this in his novel Of Mice And Men, where his character George and Curley's wife.
  All Literature shows at least one characters faults and greatness. In most books the author just shows the characters problems and them fixing the problem. Steinbeck goes beyond that. In his book all of his characters show there many faults and there moments of greatness. Steinbeck states in his Nobel acceptance speech "... writers who does not passionitly believe in the perffectibility of man has no dedication or membership in literature.
  One character from Of Mice And Men is George. George is a ranch hand that travels with his mentaly  handicapped friend Lennie. Lennie,causes one of George's greatest fault, his short temper. Throughout the book George gradually overcame his temper and came to love Lennie.
  Another character from Of Mice And Men is Curley's wife. She had many faults. She always wanted attention, but Curley could not give her enough. So she snuck around on the ranch. she tried to seduce Lennie which ultimatly led to her demise. George had told Lennie to stay away from her but Curley's wife, deprived of attention, could not. But in her death she gained more attention than she ever had.
  As stated in the first paragraph John Steinbeck thought that the best literature was expressed by showing a characters faults and greatnesses. And his novel dose this with every character.

Frozen Air

       As I walked through the stark white landscape I could feel the frozen air pushing through my many layers of coats, as I slowly trudged through the field. I could see the bushes and trees weighed down by the ice crystals clinging to there limbs. I could here birds chirping away, looking for food in what to them seems to be a white wasteland. As I raised my head, I opened my mouth to taste the gently falling snow flakes falling down from the sky. My favorite part of snow is the smell. The smell of frozen air, so fresh and cool it should be used as medicine!

9/11 paragraph

       After reading the letter from Osama Bin Laden I had many questions. The most intresting question i had was why do the terrorist pray so much before they attack. In the reading it said, "Pray for victory three times befor you foot touches the plane." I think they are just tring to find a excuse for doing this, if they think that "allah" told them to do this it will make them more confident in there actions.

I Am Poem

I am a quiet hunter.
I wonder if i will see a deer.
I hear leaves crunching in the woods.
I see a deer walking through the trees.
I want to hunt all day.
I am a quiet hunter.

I pretend  im hunting even when im not.
I feel the cool fall breeze.
I touch the cool metal trigger.
I worry I will miss my shot.
I cry when I dont succeed.
I am a quiet hunter.

I understand I wont allways win.
I say I am a great hunter.
I dream iI will kill a record buck.
I try to stay still.
I hope my efforts are worth it.
